S1 E2: Haroun Al-Rashid confirms the succession by hanging it on the Kaaba but fears for Al-Ma’moun because of the brutality of his brother Al-Amin. This causes Al-Amin to incite the caliphate against Al-Ma’moun, tarnishing his image with his ongoing meetings with Ja’afar Al-Barmaki.
