Dear Mr. Cooper...

S2 E19: Eddie invites astronaut Gordon Cooper to his home for a quiet visit away from interviews if he's ever in town but discovers the news media doesn't want it that way. When Eddie's father, Tom Corbett, learns that it's true Cooper intends to visit his son, he has a difficult time trying to keep news director Weston away. The astronaut spends a few comfortable hours with Eddie while Tom convinces Weston it is a private meeting.
