Kumanthong

In the tranquil Mekong Delta, Lu Huynh (Quang Tuan), a mysterious shaman and healer, captivates the local villagers with his miraculous abilities. Soi (Hoang Yen Chibi), a deaf-mute, becomes particularly enchanted by his charm and soon marries him, believing she has found her dream of domestic happiness. However, her world shatters when she discovers Lu Huynh's terrifying true nature: he is a psychopathic serial killer obsessed with Kumanthong, a dark magical sect that practices human sacrifices and necromancy. Driven by an insane quest for immortality, Lu Huynh poses a deadly threat to those around him. Realizing she might be his next potential victim, Soi must find a way to expose her husband's horrific secrets and stop his murderous rampage before it's too late. This is a 2020 Vietnamese horror thriller film directed by Le Binh Giang, based on a true story.
