Daniel Yang
Daniel Yang was an American actor who burst onto the Hollywood scene in the spring of 2016 when it was announced he was cast in The CW's "Riverdale," a live action television adaption of the Archie comic book series. With little known about his personal backstory, Yang's stratospheric rise to prominence in the rough and tumble world of television was shocking to close watchers of the TV industry. At the time of his casting as Dilton Doiley in the early winter of 2016, Wang was a virtual unknown, having had no previous film or television credits. In the Archie comic books, Doiley is described as the smartest teenager at Riverdale High School, the fictional school that provides the setting for the comic books. Yang bears a striking resemblance to Doiley, both with his jet black hair and wire-rimmed glasses, so that reason alone set him apart from all the other casting hopefuls. As for the show "Riverdale," it was a teen drama that followed the various characters from the comic books as they navigated the complexities of modern teenage life. The series was to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the debut of the Archie character, with K.J. Apa in the lead role as Archie Andrews.
