Jerry's (Jim O'Heir) contribution to Leslie's community art show causes a stir. Ben (Adam Scott) moves in with April (Aubrey Plaza) and Andy (Chris Pratt) and attempts to teach them how to be adults. Meanwhile, Leslie (Amy Poehler) is frustrated by Chris (Rob Lowe) and his interoffice dating rules. Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones and Retta also star.

The unidentifiable and gruesome remains of a male bowler are found lodged in the automatic pinsetter of a bowling lane. Brennan’s father, Max Keenan (guest star Ryan O’Neal), is a member of the victim’s bowling team, but currently sidelined with an injury. With no clear lead in the case, Booth and Brennan go undercover and join the very competitive bowling team in hopes of finding clues about the victim. Upon meeting the victim’s teammates, including an arrogant 12-year-old bowling prodigy, it becomes apparent there could be many suspects in the case. Meanwhile, a very pregnant Angela anticipates her labor at any moment, but continues to work diligently via webcam to identify the murder weapon from the hospital.

As Lorelai frantically prepares for her final examinations in business school, Rory secretly invites townspeople--including Richard and Emily--to Lorelai's graduation ceremony. Christopher gives Lorelai a special gift, and Sookie bakes a cake. Meanwhile, without telling anyone, Rory travels to New York, where Jess has been living since Luke sent him away. Everyone happily gathers for Lorelai's proud moment, but Rory is not there! Her bus is delayed by an accident, and she misses the graduation ceremony. Lorelai is upset until she realizes that Rory truly loves Jess. Rory doesn't believe that she could love anyone but Dean, but she is happy to celebrate Lorelai's graduation with her a little late.

Doug's plan temporarily works until Carrie decides she and Doug need to start exercising more. Meanwhile, when Arthur realizes he wasn't around that much during Carrie's childhood, he attempts to superimpose himself into some of her baby pictures.

As Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) looks to help Winona (Natalie Zea) through her divorce, Mags Bennett (Margo Martindale) cuts her ties with her son Dickie, leaving him to take on Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) for control of Harlan’s criminal enterprises. Meanwhile, Raylan helps young Loretta McCready (Kaitlyn Dever) move on after she learns the truth about her father’s gruesome murder.
