Solomon Georgio
Solomon Georgio was an American standup comedian who performed on "Comedy Central Stand Up Presents" (Comedy Central, 2017-) and "Conan" (2010-), in addition to comedy venues all across the country. An Ethiopian immigrant, Georgio realized early on that he had a natural ability to make people laugh. However, he never saw a career in show business as any kind of reality. That all changed, however, when Georgio moved with his family to Seattle when he was 16. He quickly became inspired by Seattle's constantly evolving music and arts scene, and was particularly drawn to its standup comedy clubs. He worked up the courage to try his hand at standup in 2007, and immediately fell in love. Georgio spent a few years honing his craft in the clubs of Seattle, and had his first major break when he became a finalist for NBC's StandUp for Diversity comedy competition. With his comedy career on the upswing, Georgio moved to Los Angeles to take his standup career to the next level. He began performing in clubs all around the city, while quickly striking up friendships with already established comedians like Ron Funches. Within a year of his arrival in L.A., Georgio was performing regularly at comedy clubs all across Los Angeles. He also began performing his act on late night talks shows like "Conan" and "Last Call with Carson Daly" (NBC, 2002-). By the mid-2010s Georgio also began writing for TV. In 2016 he wrote 7 episodes of the long-running animated program "SpongeBob Squarepants" (Nickelodeon, 1999-), and the following year joined the writing staff of the comedy series "Adam Ruins Everything" (TruTV, 2015-). In addition to writing several episodes of the show, Georgio also appeared as an actor in a couple of episodes of "Adam Ruins Everything," including an episode that aired in 2017.
