Season Four premiere. A behind-the-scenes documentary look at the filming of 'Medellin' on location in Bogota, Colombia. On set, Eric and Billy clash over keeping the film on schedule and Billy develops an infatuation with Vince's beautiful Colombian co-star that becomes increasingly disruptive to the production. Meanwhile, Drama tries to angle for a part in the film, and Ari provides color commentary from his L.A. office.

The friends plan their futures. Marissa attends Johnny's surf competition instead of completing her college application. Julie is forced to return to her roots.

Julie and Dr. Roberts announce their engagement. Marissa seeks solace with bad boy Volchok. Ryan tries to move on with Sadie, but Seth's concern for Marissa gets in the way.

After a group activity falls apart Tori and Beck decide to go on an "Opposite Date" where they do things that people would never do on a REAL date.

After a long absence, Christopher Haden (recurring guest star DAVID SUTCLIFFE - "I'm With Her," "Under the Tuscan Sun"), Rory's father, reappears in the lives of Lorelai and Rory. Luke struggles with what the presence of Christopher will mean to him and his relationship with Lorelai. Lorelai and Rory enjoy their first Thanksgiving at the Dragonfly Inn, and Rory receives surprising news about Logan. Meanwhile, on the eve of an important gig for the band, Lane has to deal with Zack's (recurring guest star TODD LOWE) jealousy over a song Brian (recurring guest star JOHN CABRERA) wrote about her. Grammy Award winner CAROLE KING - composer, producer and singer of the "Gilmore Girls" theme song, "Where You Lead," recurs as Sophie Bloom, the owner of Stars Hollow's music shop.
